Les Ramparts
Set in the heart of the historic village of Malemort, Les Remparts is
a charming 17th century village house built into the medieval ramparts,
with an ancient sentry box in one of its walls. Beautifully restored,
retaining original features such as floor tiles and exposed beams, the
house is constructed over a vaulted medieval cellar. The upper windows
look out over the village walls and across the countryside to the serrated
peaks of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The small, L-shaped walled garden
has stone steps leading to a sunny terrace built over what used to be
the village dungeon. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided for
outdoor dining and relaxing.
