Papillon Mignon Accomodations
The house is available for rent throughout the year.

Two Rental Areas There are two areas available for rent. (see photo below) The door to the right is the entrance to the main house. The door across the courtyard and straight ahead leads to the small apartment.

Ask if the apartment is rented if you want the house exclusively. It is possible that the small apartment will not be rented in July and August; however, it is likely to be rented other months. This would be to graduate students from the Wharton School of Finance (Instead) or to a couple from Paris. The students are in school during the day. In the case of a Parisian as renter, it would likely be used only on weekends.
Please note the different entrances in the courtyard. If this presents a problem for your rental, you must stipulate this at the time of booking so we can determine how best to handle the rental of the small apartment.

A. Layout of the Main House :
The main house entrance is in the back of the courtyard on the right of the "L" shaped farmhouse. The courtyard is the only area shared by both rentals. The back garden is used only by the main house renters.


The Main House includes The summer living room (granier) and bar
This room is available in all the summer months from May through October and is not heated in the winter months. It has a steep staircase that leads to the upstairs loft and the artist's area. It is not appropriate for small children.



Family-room kitchen
This area features a massive stone fireplace at one end and gridded windows overlooking the garden at the other.
Powder room

White guest room with adjoining bathroom and shower
This room includes a king size four poster bed and adjoining bathroom and shower. All beds in the chateau have American deluxe box springs and mattresses.
Master bedroom
The master bedroom has an antique French wash basin in the room. There is a king size four poster bed and a small adjoining bathroom with a tub and closet.
Olive Bedroom
While shown in photos with twin beds, it now has a queen size bed. The bath in the hall between the master and olive bedroom can be used by both bedrooms. It has marble around the bath tub and a good sized shower with a large shower head.
Turquoise Bedroom

This bedroom has an entrance from the courtyard or through the family room-kitchen. It has a four poster king canopy bed. There is an antique French wash basin and a fireplace in the room. It is, however, the only room without an adjoining bathroom. Guests can use the toilet in the powder room near the entrance of the house (access is through the family-room kitchen). For shower or bath facilities this guest must use the other bathrooms.
Backyard
The main house alone may use the backyard that is approximately 1/2 acre.

Private Parking
There is also a very convenient, private, graveled parking area in the back of the house that has a second large gate for entry.


Smoking is not permitted in the farmhouse for reasons of fire hazards. However, guests may smoke in the open courtyard or backyard.

The house has many "American like" amenities that are only 3 months old.

Ice Machine
This allows you to have ice cubes, chopped ice and purified water.
Stove and Oven
The stove has four burners that function with gas. The propane tanks are refilled prior to each rental. In the case of more use, the tank will be substituted; however, most large gas stations sell refills. We buy the tank at the gas station of Carrefour, the large shopping mall.

The TV is a new plasma TV with a flat LCD screen about 73" across. It is hooked up with a satellite and receives the English channels, CNN and BBC. A remote is included.

Heating
The heat is divided into two systems one for the main house and one for the small apartment rental. They function with a combination of electricity and gas or electricity alone.

Outdoor Lantern
The outdoor lantern on the street goes on automatically between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Alarm System
The house has an alarm system that can be turned on and off with a remote control.
Separate Keys for Most Rooms
This permits certain rooms in the house to be closed off if fewer rooms are needed for a particular rental.
Laundry
There is a small washing machine available on the premises as well as an ironing board and iron. Laundry soap is provided on location.
Telephone and Fax Machine
The telephone and fax machine are in a small room off the entrance of the house. The fax machine is a multi-functioning copy center. It can fax and photo copy in either black and white or color. If necessary, the telephone bill in the house will be deducted from the security deposit following your stay. It is strongly recommended to bring cell phones or get one on location as it simplifies individual use. Cell phones can be obtained at the car rental agencies and turned in at the time of departure. Following orders can be placed with increments of $20, $40, $60, $80 etc.
Safe and Cash Box
We are not responsible for loss while visiting the house and would not suggest bringing costly valuables.

Layout of the Small Apartment
The rental apartment is at the back of the courtyard immediately in front of the entrance.
Living Room and Dining Room
To the right of the entrance is the living room/dining room with a table and six chairs plus two twin daybed sofas.
Kitchen
The kitchen includes a two burner stove and microwave oven. Additionally, the kitchen is stocked with:

All appliances and kitchenware are new.

Utility Bath
This room has a large tub and sink. There is also a washing machine and clothes rack in this bathroom.
There is an independent toilet room off the kitchen.
Bedrooms
There are two bedrooms right off the landing at the top of the stairs. Both bedrooms have adjoining bathrooms with a shower and toilet. One bedroom has an outside staircase as well as the one inside the house. Both bedrooms include antique wash basins, two twin beds, a desk, a chair, a closet and a dresser.
