LE
MAS DES MARIDATS
Location: between Bédoin and
Mormoiron

Le Mas des Maridats Photos
This very old Provençal
mas (farmhouse) sits at the edge of a
tiny hamlet halfway between the villages of
Mormoiron and Bédoin in the Vaucluse
section of Provence. It was completely
restored four years ago by its Dutch owners
and has been superbly decorated and
furnished. The vibrant colors of Provence are
used beautifully throughout the house in
furnishings, wall colors and accessories.
The nearby village of Bédoin nestles in the
sunny pastures at the foot of Mont Ventoux and
is an ideal base for exploring the area.
Vineyards, lavender fields and olive groves dot
the region, while interesting sights -- Roman
ruins, ancient abbeys, villages perched on
hilltops, the scenery painted by Van Gogh and
Cézanne -- are all around.
The house sits in open countryside and is
surrounded by vineyards on three sides. The
imposing presence of Mont Ventoux is felt
throughout this northern part of Provence, and
there is a lovely view of the mountain from the
terrace beside the pool -- a perfect place to sit
and savor the many pleasures of this
wonderful part of France.

bedrooms, one twin/king bedroom and one

framing a view of Mont Ventoux. Adjacent

for outdoor dining. Rustic garden with

vineyards on three sides.
