La Maison de Fanny

La Maison de Fanny is in an attractive stone house looking across the fields to Mont Ventoux, yet only two minutes' walk from the centre of St. Didier, a busy village between Carpentras and Venasque. The south-facing back garden is enclosed by old stone walls and has a large “bassin” style 9m x 3m pool complete with Roman steps. The garden includes lawn and shade trees; a vine-covered pergola provides shade for the eating area and there is a purpose-built barbecue. There are also pool loungers and outdoor dining furniture. The house has retained many original features including terracotta floors, exposed beams and a wide spiral staircase with a wrought-iron banister. The rooms are spacious and simply but tastefully decorated.
