The property consists of a large main house, which was originally a very
old barn, and an adjacent smaller cottage. Both dwellings have been carefully
restored and very tastefully decorated, with stone walls and exposed beams
throughout. Dadinou sits on a plateau in the midst of 100 acres of field
and woodland. The location is very private and commands veiws up to the
chateau de Fleurac and down to the sandstone cliffs at Les Eyzies. All
of the Dordogne's renowned historical sites and châteaux, as well
as some of the best restaurants in the area, are within easy reach.

- Nearest small convenience store, boulangerie, charcuterie in Les Eyzies,
10 minutes away. Supermarchés in Rouffignac, 10 minutes, and Le
Bugue, 20 minutes.

- Bike rentals from the Syndicat d'Initiatives in Les Eyzies for excellent
biking on country roads all around. Dadinou also has numerous forest
paths ideal for hiking and mountain biking.

- Outdoor markets held weekly in many nearby villages (in Rouffignac
on Sunday and in Le Bugue on Tuesday).
- The famous Lascaux caves and many other prehistoric sites are within
easy driving distance.
- The medieval market towns of Sarlat, Périgueux and Bergerac are 45
minutes away.
- The Dordogne region is characterized by an ongoing array of châteaux
and fortified towns (bastides), including Monbazillac, Lanquais, Beaumont,
Biron, Milandes, Beynac, Castelnaud and Fenelon. All are within an easy
day trip.
Transportation
- BY CAR: From Paris the most direct route is the A20 motorway to Orleans
and Limoges.
- BY TRAIN: High speed train (TGV)from Paris to Angouleme takes 2.5
hours. Rental cars available at the station.
- BY PLANE: International flights into Paris and Bordeaux airports.
There are also flights (Buzz Airlines) from London into nearby Bergerac.
Prices
Prices include electricity, linens and towels, cleaning after departure
and four hours of maid service during the week. (Additional maid service
can be arranged.) Security deposit required.
Both houses must be rented together in the summer months but may be rented
separately in spring, fall and winter. If either the house or the cottage
is rented in those months, the other property will not be rented to another
party so that renters' privacy is assured.
Rentals run from Saturday 4:00 PM to the following Saturday 10:00
AM.
